Yellow Nails for the Yellow Belt

It's been mere weeks since we entered the world of karate.  It was instant love for all of those involved.  We even watched Karate Kid this past weekend...nothing like a little Miyagi magic to inspire.  So tonight my two little beginners counted to ten in Korean and demonstrated their 20 Steps.  Emily was flawless.  She also did the Second Form because she picked it up in a single lesson so Master Nam threw in a little green stripe on her belt for good measure.  Another proud moment in parentland.   We celebrated with a yummy dinner and then ...to balance out the serious nature of all that my little girl had just accomplished ...I did her nails.  Yellow.  With one single green stripe on each ring finger.  It's all about the balance...in karate...in parenting...in life.  Oh and bee-tee-dub...I can count to ten in Korean as well.
