Kindergarten Screening

     He seemed a tad bit nervous as we walked into the doors at his new school.  The sweet secretary walked him over to a table full of brand new storybooks and said that he could pick one.  This was a distraction so that I could be whisked away by the school nurse to update forms.  The school psychologist then tested him.  She came back with a smiling little boy who said, "It was easy, Mom!".  It's just another moment...a sweet validation...a tender feeling held on pause for a second or two...when I feel like I've done a pretty good job so far.  Next week...orientation!!!
