Casablanca Clams

A few weeks ago my niece and I texted each other with the dates that we were available to get together.  I had missed my sweet little White Family since Easter and requested some time to visit.  A half dozen texts later we found a Sunday that we could share together.
Popcorn Buddha was first for an array of fun flavors to take along.  New thing alert...Falafel popcorn might just be my new fave! If you haven't gone to Popcorn Buddha yet...please...get...there!!!
A slow easy Sunday ride down 611 was full of singing and music.  This led us to an afternoon of pure family bliss.  Every detail is always perfect.  This menu featured the relaxed vibe of a bbq.  Corn, toasted bread, potatoes and clams filled the table.  I have made clams for others and watched since childhood as others devoured them...but they weren't for me.  Until this day.  Their salty goodness was much appreciated.  The meal was finished off with lemony chilled washcloths.  We all washed away the hints of the sea and the summer heat with a resounding...."aaaaahhhhhhh".
As always it was a beautiful time.  Pop Pop got to play with the cherubs.  Cousins got to throw a football and chase Potato the pug.  We even got to spend some time with the elusive, Eric.  But the thing that you leave with  (besides a full tummy) is a sense of peace.  The love is undeniable in their house and when there is such an abundance you always seem to take a little of it with you...like a doggy bag.
Thank you for another wonderful visit!  Love you all very much!!!
