Fabulous Friday

     Friday was amazing.
   
      First I grabbed some shopping time.  I don't do that.  Half off items and the perfect shoes to go with my perfect new shirt and I was thrilled.  The ride to work was easy.  The weather was nice.  Work was pleasant.  I also got to make a mug...my first one from slab.  It was part of a training of sorts but it was fun.  Then I got to drive around the West End with Leigh Ann to find places to put posters for an upcoming event.  Sounds simple enough I guess...but with windows down and sunroof open we laughed and sang songs and felt a little touch of summer all while getting work done.
     After a pleasant work day and a nice shower I headed off to Yonkers.  John and I were going to see the friends we spent our childhood with...in elementary school.  I had seen some of them just a few autumns ago at my high school reunion but for others it had been decades.  It is a surreal feeling to see the faces you remember from grade school.  We caught up, toasted memories and futures, danced, laughed and hugged.  There were also squeals as each and every one of us made our way into the bar.  To Doreen, Colette, Jennifer, Kerry, Bobby, Edgar, Mary, Christine, Dawn and Jason...thank you for a wonderful summer night in my old stomping ground.  I can't wait to do it again! For those of you who missed it...there's always next time!!!
