Spontaneous Beyonce

Some days I have to seek a new thing.  Others I plan ahead.  Today, it fell upon me.  After being chased from the pool by a storm we headed home to get into dry clothes.  I was the first to change.  If I am in the bathroom then there is music playing. "All the Single Ladies" came on.  I turned it up even louder.  There might have been some dancing.  I will neither deny nor confirm.  Alright, I admit it - there was some dancing.  Seconds later there was a rhythmical pounding coming from outside the door.  It was my girl doing the same dance on the other side.  She popped in and we synched the silly.  Seconds later a naked little boy popped into the very same doorway doing some crazy little dance.  The three of us dancing...with little hands waving the infamous moves of a song we all know.  It is one of those moments you freeze.  Take a mental note of.  Maybe even a pic or a video.  It makes the challenging times alright and the tough times easier.  It makes sense out of it all.  The early bedtimes, the vitamins, the sunblock, the veggies...the worries that come with parenting all align as your kids dance and giggle together.  These moments say, "You are doing it well, Mama...now dance to that!"
     ...and dance we did.
